What is the Intel 21140-based Ethernet Controller?
The Intel 21140 is an Ethernet controller chip that was widely used in early network interface cards (NICs), primarily designed for 10/100 MbpsPCI slot (Peripheral Component Interconnect), allowing the system to access a wired Ethernet network. The 21140 chip was popular in older systems and is still found in legacy hardware that uses 10/100 Mbps Ethernet networking.
The Windows driver for the Intel 21140-based Ethernet Controller enables Windows operating systems to communicate with the network card. Without the correct driver, the system may not recognize the controller, and you won't be able to use the Ethernet network interface.
