What is iLO (ASR) Windows Driver?
iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) is a remote management technology developed by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) for its ProLiant and other HPE servers. iLO provides out-of-band management, allowing administrators to remotely manage, monitor, and troubleshoot HPE servers regardless of whether the server's operating system is running or not.
ASR stands for Automatic Server Recovery, which is a feature integrated into the iLO management system. ASR monitors the server's health and, if it detects a critical issue (like an OS crash or system hang), it can automatically restart the server or notify administrators. In this context, the iLO ASR Windows driver is a software component that allows Windows operating systems to interact with the iLO ASR feature for proper monitoring, management, and recovery of HPE servers.
