How to Install the Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 Driver
Method 1: Automatic Installation via Windows Update

- Open Device Manager:
- Press
Windows + X
and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Network adapters section.
- Look for the Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 device.
- Update the driver:
- Right-click on the Intel Wireless device and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Windows will search for the latest driver from its database and install it if available.
- Restart your computer to complete the installation.
Method 2: Download and Install Manually
- Visit the Intel website:
- Download the driver:
- From the search results, find the driver that matches your version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
- Click on the download link and save the driver package to your computer.
- Install the driver:

Method 3: Install Using Intel Driver & Support Assistant

- Download the Intel Driver & Support Assistant from here.
- Install the tool and run it. It will scan your system for Intel hardware and provide a list of available updates for your drivers.
- Follow the instructions to install the wireless driver.
Troubleshooting
- If you're having trouble with your wireless connection after installing the driver, ensure that the Wi-Fi adapter is enabled in the Device Manager.
- You can also try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it if you experience issues.
