AMD Radeon™ Graphics Windows Driver is a software package that enables your AMD graphics card (whether it’s integrated or discrete) to work properly with your Windows operating system. The driver allows your computer to communicate with the hardware, ensuring that your graphics card functions correctly for gaming, video playback, and other graphical tasks.

The AMD Radeon™ Graphics driver package typically includes:

  1. Display Driver: Enables the graphics card to display visuals on your monitor.
  2. Control Panel (AMD Radeon Settings): Provides an interface for adjusting settings such as resolution, refresh rate, color settings, and other GPU-related options.
  3. Software (Optional): May include utilities for performance tuning, game optimizations, and system diagnostics.

Steps to Install AMD Radeon™ Graphics Driver on Windows:

Method 1: Via AMD's Official Website

  1. Go to AMD’s official website:
    AMD Drivers and Support

  2. Select your GPU:

    • In the "Search for your product" section, choose your graphics card. If you don't know the exact model, you can use the "Auto-Detect and Install" tool on the website to automatically detect your AMD hardware.
    • If you have an integrated AMD processor (like Ryzen), select the appropriate APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) under the "Processors with Radeon Graphics" section.
  3. Choose your operating system:

    • Select your version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10 or Windows 11).
  4. Download the driver:

    • After selecting the correct product and OS, click the Download button to get the latest driver package.
  5. Install the driver:

    • Open the downloaded file (usually a .exe installer) and follow the on-screen prompts.
    • You may need to restart your computer after installation.

Method 2: Via AMD Radeon Software (Auto-Detect)

  1. Download AMD Radeon Software:
Download the AMD Radeon Software package from the official AMD website. This software package includes the driver, as well as useful utilities for monitoring and tuning your GPU.

  2. Run the Auto-Detect tool:
AMD provides a tool that will automatically detect your AMD graphics hardware and install the appropriate driver. This tool can be found on the AMD website as well, or you can use the AMD Radeon Software to check for updates and install the correct version.

Method 3: Via Windows Device Manager (if you can't access the internet)

  1. Open Device Manager:
Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

  2. Locate your GPU:
Expand the "Display Adapters" section. If your graphics driver is not installed properly, you might see a yellow warning icon next to your GPU.

  3. Update the driver:

    • Right-click on your AMD Radeon GPU and select Update Driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. Windows will attempt to find and install the latest driver for your GPU.
  4. Restart your computer:
After the driver is installed, reboot your computer to finalize the installation.
